Patriotic prayer beads, Lutheran prayer beads, Lutheran rosary, stainless steel, hand-wired, red white blue glass pearls, Italian crucifix

$55.00

I made this set of Lutheran prayer beads with July 4th in mind. (Independence Day, USA ).
However, according to Wikipedia, 28 countries use red, white, and blue for their flag colors. Several territories and US states use them, as well.
These colors usually have a specific meaning.
More info on this to come.

This set of prayer beads is made with red, white, and blue glass pearls and features an Italian-made silver-toned crucifix.

This rosary is hand-wired using stainless steel eye pins and my trusty little looper tool. The beads are connected by these loops.

The smaller beads are 10mm red, white, and blue glass pearls.

The larger beads are 12mm white glass pearls.

The focal point is a detailed Italian made silver-toned crucifix.
It measures about 56x34mm.
25.4mm is about 1 inch.

The cross is silver-toned metal. The jump rings are aluminum.

This rosary is 19 1/2 inches long from the center top to the bottom of the crucifix.

Please note one of the Sunday beads is offset at the center. It is supposed to be that way.

All rosaries, prayer beads, and malas will come in a small organza bag for safe storage.

---------------------------------------------

In doing my research, I found that some Lutherans use the Catholic rosary with modified prayers, some use the Anglican rosary with modified prayers, and some use no rosary or prayer beads at all.

There are several different variations on the Lutheran rosary, but they all center around Lent.

This version was created in 2005 by a seminary member and his wife. This was at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania.

As mentioned before, the rosary is centered around the Lenten season.
There are six sets of six beads representing the days of the week excluding Sunday.
Then there are 7 larger beads representing the Sundays.
Then where they are joined, one of the Sunday beads, and four small ones, then a crucifix.

I do not claim to know everything about this rosary, but my research is ongoing.

I will be adding more information about the symbolism, history, and how to pray the Lutheran rosary.

If you would prefer a cross instead of a crucifix, please let me know and I will swap it out for you.
